HARGEISA (MomentMedia) – The government Somaliland republic has sent a letter of complaint to the federal government of Ethiopia. The complaint is about the administration of Somalia region of the Ethiopia is making intervention into the fighting of Buhodle town inside Somaliland.
Somaliland’s minister of foreign affairs Dr. Mohamed Abdullahi Omar told Jamhuriya Newspaper while he was in Addis Ababa that his government demanded from the government of Ethiopia to bring its military forces in the border between the two nations.
He said that the people of Somalia are complaining about Liyuu police from Somalia region of Ethiopia, who are at Somalia-Ethiopia.
In Addis Ababa, Somaliland ministers of interior and foreign affairs visited Ethiopia and told its officials complaints about Buhodle fighting that killed more people.
The ministers said that the administration of Somalia region of Ethiopia is giving material support to the militias fighting against Somaliland military forces in Buhodle.
Ethiopia said it doesn’t know anything about if Somalia region of Ethiopia has direct ties to anti-peace elements in Somaliland, according to foreign minister of Somaliland.
He said that Ethiopia noted it is not acceptable such actions which are against the overall security of the region.
